The School of Food & Agriculture at the University of Maine seeks a Postdoctoral fellow (100% teaching) to assist in our heavily enrolled Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal and Veterinary Science, (including a concentration in pre-veterinary sciences). This professional staff position will be located at the Orono campus.

The successful candidate will deliver introductory undergraduate experiential course (AVS 146 - Introduction to Animal Science Laboratory), two formal lecture courses, AVS 437 - Animal Diseases, AVS 480 - Physiology of Reproduction, and coordinate field experiences for students pursuing internship opportunities off campus, AVS 396 - Field Experience. 

Teaching programs in Animal and Veterinary Sciences at UMaine include hands-on experience at the University of Maine's J. F. Witter Teaching and Research Center, which includes a working dairy, horse herd, and other species that may include pigs, small ruminants and poultry. Typical hiring salary for this two-year, fixed-length position is $47,000.

• DVM and/or PhD in Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
