Position is available to employees of the Associated C.O.L.T. Staff of the University of Maine only.
Part-time, 7.5 month position (32 weeks), 30 hours per week. Monday-Friday 10:00 am-4:30 pm. The work year for this position aligns with the academic calendar, beginning 2 weeks prior to the start of classes in the Fall semester. There are 3 short work breaks as follows: SWB 1 begins at the start of Fall finals and ends 1 week prior to the start of the Spring semester; SWB 2 is the week of Spring Break (Note: this break is eliminated for 2021); and SWB 3 begins at the start of Spring finals and ends 2 weeks prior to the start of the Fall semester. Employee may occasionally be asked to work up to 40 hours during particular busy weeks.
The Mail Services Assistant performs duties related to the collection, distribution, and processing of mail and parcels in the Package & Postal Center (in the Memorial Union). Tasks are highly defined and follow clear operating policies and procedures.
